Dance! Dance!

oder: was ist ein Freiraum?

13. Mai - 9. Juni 2017

Ein bedrängendes Bild zeigt auch Tal Iungman in dem Kurzfilm "How was your day?".

or: what is freedom?

May 12 - June 9
Open: Wednesday - Friday, 2-6pm (and on request)

The LGBTI+ ‘movement’ meets the Gezi park protests and becomes part of the biggest protest rally in Istanbul. The movie #direnayol from Kanka Productions documented it. Today, the Turkish regime attacks all opposition including LGBTI+ community. Ahmed Ben Amor tells about the dramatic situation in Tunisia, where LGBTI+ people suffer from ill-treatment and imprisonment. Another urging matter presents Tal Iungman’s short film ‘How was your day?’. Especially gender fluid, non-binary and trans people are subjected to a political, discursive and institutionalized regime in which humans, bodies, ways of expression and ways of life are marginalized and exploited.

‘Dance against transphobia!’ - that’s one thing we can learn from #direnayol. Enlarge the field of resistance and create political alliances and supportive communities to break down identity based and sociopolitical isolation.

Exhibition, presentation, discussion and research platform with Rüzgâr Buşki, Tal Iungman, Gizem Oruç AKA 6zm, Ahmed Ben Amor, and many more.
